Understand Your Purpose & Assignment
Seeking God for our “assignment” is essentially us asking the big question: “what should I be doing with my life, and where should I be devoting my time, giftings, and energy?” It can also extend into these questions as well: “What is my purpose for being on the earth? What am I called to do?”
It’s a beautiful heart posture to be looking to the Lord for direction in life. He knows how he created you with your unique identity and giftings, and your “assignments” are a particular way that God has for you to make an impact in the world for the Kingdom of God. As believers, our assignments are always tied to what is on God’s heart. If we are servants and friends and children of God, we will want to be about our Father’s business on the earth!
Ephesians 5:15-16 (NLT)
So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. 16Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. 17Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.
