Welcome to the Rhema NOW movement, we are so glad you’re here! It’s exciting that you desire to hear God speak! Our lives have been dramatically transformed by listening to God on a regular basis, and our passion is for you to be able to experience this right along with us.
We believe God is real, that He still speaks and wants to talk to you, and every human is created with the intrinsic ability to communicate with God today. Sometimes it doesn’t come automatically, but if we put in the effort to discover how it works for us we can all hear. In Hebrews 11:6 (TPT) it says: “...For we come to God in faith knowing that he is real and that he rewards the faith of those who passionately seek him.”
Having real conversations with God will produce the lasting transformation you are looking for in your life. As you experience Him for yourself you will enjoy new levels of peace and rest as you discover how truly gentle-hearted and good God is. He is relentlessly in love with you, and the more you hear from Him, the more you will believe it!
The foundation for this whole concept is found in Isaiah 55:3 (NLT): “Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life.” Also, later in that chapter verse 11 says: “It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.”
There is a beautiful simplicity when God speaks to us that cuts out all the noise and confusion, and the impact on our souls makes it a pleasure to spend time with Him more consistently. The good news is we can initiate the conversation, and when God speaks back to us, nothing else matters. Our hearts melt, the enemy is silenced, all fear is banished, and peace reigns supreme in our life!
The listening sessions in the “Prayers” tab of the Rhema NOW app are designed to set up an environment ripe for encounter. They lead you in prayerful questions and give you plenty of space to have personal one-on-one time with God, so you can listen for what He wants to show you and receive directly from Him.
Way too often we come to God with a list of requests or a long speech and then move on with our day without waiting for an answer. Or maybe we’re flat bored with hearing ourselves talk or feel too busy to find the time to even try at all.
Our goal is to activate Christians to hear God’s voice which will draw us into ongoing connection and union with Him. We find that this is a tool set that is rare amongst the abundance of teachings, commentaries, and devotionals out there. While all that is fine and good, we believe encountering God personally is the most impactful and transformational activity a person can participate in.
The Rhema NOW app is focused on bringing us back to the beautiful simplicity of talking face-to-face with God like a friend, just like Moses did. It doesn’t have to be complicated, and it doesn’t have to take too long. It is helpful to just tap a button and immerse yourself in a beautiful Heavenly environment that cuts through the noise and chaos of life, with question prompts that give you time and space to hear His voice–which is what really matters above all else.
We also want to point out that listening to God is not limited to an app. Obviously, God is available anytime to anyone who will call on His name. Our app is simply a tool to assist you in developing a practice of having regular conversations with God. We believe regular connection with God like this will bring you the best life possible, and have observed that when people interact with God in this way, over time there are common effects that emerge:

Peace that defies circumstances
Freedom from lies and bondage
Realization God is good and gentle-hearted
Desire to surrender fully to Jesus
Discovery of personal identity in Christ
Understand your purpose/assignment
Courage and faith rise up in you
Boldness in taking action for good

Divine wisdom and the mind of Christ
Ability to love yourself and others well
